Sometimes reading is also waiting to read, planning to read, trying to be at peace with the world between the moments in which reading is possible.
Yesterday I checked out: Helen DeWitt’s Some Tricks, Semezdin Mehmedinović’s Sarajevo Blues, and Cesar Aira’s Shantytown in the original Spanish, to practice. I also checked out the digital edition of Reading Hayy Ibn-Yaqzan: A Cross-Cultural History of Autodidacticism by Avner Ben-Zaken.
